W. "Bruce" Vogel, PhD, has over a decade of experience in identifying, developing, and analyzing cost data related to VA health care interventions related to stroke, dementia, amputation, and other health disabilities. Dr. Vogel is a Research Health Scientist at the Center of Innovation on Disability and Rehabilitation Research VISN 8 (CINDRR) and an Associate Professor, UF Department of Health Outcomes and Policy. As an economist, Dr. Vogel has served as PI on several VA-funded research projects focused on the costs and cost-effectiveness of alternative stroke rehabilitation settings, among others. He is presently a co-investigator on two grants (one from NIH focused on stroke) under Margaret Stineman related to rehabilitation outcomes for VA rehabilitation patients. He continues to apply his expertise and experience at the Regional Coordinating Stroke Center in the NINDS Stroke Trials Network as part of his on-going health services research agenda within the VA.
